Getting started with My Home Value through Banno is simple and requires minimal effort from your team. Once your order is confirmed, Array team will walk you through the Banno configuration and Admin settings in the kickoff call.
1. Banno Configuration
The FI has five straightforward steps to complete in this process:
- Figure out the Banno URL, e.g.
- Create + configure external application for Card
- Create + configure external application for Action
- Create Plugin
- Enable Plugin for users in Banno
Card external application
- Go to Banno Dashboard -> External Applications
- Create External application
- Name: My Home Value Card
- Uncheck User consent required
- Redirect URI example: https://banno-middleware-prod-a3b408bba61b.herokuapp.com/garden-fi/card
- Add another redirect URI: https://home.chimney.io

- Go back to the My Home Value Card that was just created and edit the following fields:
- Set Link type: PluginCard
- Set Link title: Card Content - Note this is not visible in Banno, it’s only for internal reference
- Client ID: the client ID is generated by the Banno system. Copy this ID to share with the Array team.
- Client Secret: The client secret is generated by the Banno system. Copy this to share with the Array team.
- Save
Action external application
- Create a second External application
- Name: My Home Value Action (used for internal reference)
- Uncheck User consent required
- Redirect URI: example: https://banno-middleware-prod-a3b408bba61b.herokuapp.com/garden-fi/action
- Add another redirect URI: https://home.chimney.io
- Save
- Go back to the My Home Value Action that was just created and edit the following fields:
- Set Link type: PluginCard
- Set Link title: {Action Button Text you want to display}
- Client ID: the client ID is generated by the Banno system. Copy this ID to share with the Array team.
- Client Secret: The client secret is generated by the Banno system. Copy this to share with the Array team.
- Save
Create Plugin
- In Dashboard configuration, click Add an item
- Scroll to the bottom and click Create a plugin
- Title: {Enter the Feature Name you want to display, e.g. "My Home Tracker"}
- Description: *Enter description*
- Select External Application: My Home Value Card
- Set initial height: 350px
- Set icon: Home (or as desired)
- Set card action label: {Action Button Text you want to display}
- Select External Application: My Home Value Action

Enable Plugin for users in Banno
Users -> Select a user -> Permissions
- Enable "My Home Value Card"
- Enable "My Home Value Action"
- Enable "My Home Value Plugin"
The end user will then need to add the Plugin to their dashboard using Organize Dashboard.
2. Deep Links
On your email configuration page you can set up deep links that route users to the correct destination based on:
- Desktop browser
- Mobile browser
- iOS app
- Android app

3. Testing
When configuration is complete, we’ll notify you to begin testing.
During testing, you’ll be able to:
- Review the full My Home Value experience
- Confirm wording, links, and branding
- Ensure offers, home data, and onboarding flows work as expected

4. Going Live
Once the testing is done and we're ready to launch, you will need to enable the tool to all members in the Banno dashboard.
- Make sure both external applications (Card and Action) are toggled on.
- Navigate to "Dashboard Configuration" and add the plug-in to your default dashboard layout.

Click on the three dots next to the plug-in and toggle "Available to everyone".

Your members will now see the widget when they login to their dashboard. If you're doing auto-enrollment, you can now have your list uploaded.
